Chapter 28 AED


Continuing a Tradition of Service

Chapter 28, The Mended Hearts, Inc. is funding the purchase of
Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs)
in partnership with the American Heart Association's
"Save Lives Now Richmond" campaign.

To date Chapter 28 has placed 31 AEDs in high traffic locations in the Richmond Area.

Every year sudden cardiac arrest strikes about one half million people in the U.S. alone.
An AED provides the only known treatment - a shock to restart the heart.
Survival depends on quick access to this life-saving device.

Sune of the AEDs have been placed in the following locations:

  • Beth Sholom Gardens (1)

  • BethSholom Woods (1)

  • Carpenter Center of Fine Arts (1)

  • Hanover Arts and Activities Center (1)

  • Hospital Hospitality House (3)

  • The Mill House (1)

  • Science Museum of Richmond (1)

  • Senior Center of Richmond (1)

  • Senior Center of Richmond at Chesterfield (1)

  • Virginia Holocaust Museum (2)
